So Troy Elmore's Frye'd (what's in a name) fish is heavily inspired by a classic San Diego fish template.
The man has thoroughly refined the bottom and rail design (and yeah, sneakily also the outline somewhat) just so the Frye'd fish becomes not your everyday clunky twin finned speedmachine, but has basically become an extension of your body.
These fish are so sensitive, drivey and responsive, you really don't have a clue what's happening when riding one for the first time. Catches waves like it's nothing and trims, goes rail to rail and up and downs like any 'performance' shortboard. The reason for this is the somewhat complex bottom design combined with the fins and rail shape transition. Like a magic trio.
And that's just in small to average waves.
Throw it into some serious overhead+ stuff and you'll be blown away by the speed, hold and edge it will give to your surfing.
