The drive of a twin but with the hold of a quad
“Fast, loose and extremely direct. The transitions with speed is what truly stands out. It rides the barrel really well too, locked in and so precise.” These are the words commonly heard after a few surfs on a Neal Purchase Jnr Quartet.
The Quartet get its name from its unique cluster of fins: two big twinny-style fins at the front and two small trailers nestled closely behind. Together, they are super drivey and predictable, will release a lot faster and pivot nice in the pocket.
The size, shape and area of the board is based off a formula of compact volume and area. It works really well as an allrounder in a broad range of conditions. The lower entry rocker gives better paddling and planing and when surfed shortish, you can overpower them easily.
The Quartet is most probably be the fastest board you’ll ever surf. It has so much drive and the best benefit according to Neal: “Yeah, you’ll blow both your knees before it slides out on you!”
