Versatile, paddles well and can turn on a dime, the Panacea Egg lives up to its name: A surfboard design “cure all” that’s the perfect one board quiver—ready to handle most any type of conditions you’ll encounter at home or abroad. Because of its ample volume and neutral design characteristics, Josh Hall recommends an 8’0” as an ideal starting point for this design. This Panacea is also what he commonly suggests when longboard surfers want to have their first go at a smaller board...
This Panacea Egg has had the infortunate fate of being, ehhhm, broken in two by a hereto unnamed shipping company, before it ever reached its intended #seasicksurfsociety member. Now, this board was such a exquisite piece of art by Josh Hall, with originally a premium high gloss polish coat by the masters at Blend Glassing that we felt it deserved to have a second life.
So, in collaboration with our man Panther Surfboards, the board was reassembled this month, triple stringered around the break, given a beautiful heavy duty black belt and finished with a fresh matte sand job. It might just be even more rad than it was before.
