Much has been said about the original three-finned board design. We're not going to bore you with more excessive praise and technicalities. Just read this little excerpt of our US colleagues below and then watch Jack Lynch shred some bonzers below. Easy right...
" The original three fin bonzer was developed by the Campbell Brothers (Malcolm and Duncan Campbell) in December of 1970, the design was way ahead of its time and the Campbell Brothers had to wait for the rest of the surfing population to catch up to their progressive new boards. The Russ Short model is the quintessential 70's bonzer with boxy, hard edged rails, wide point forward, beak nose, narrow tail, and deep bonzer concave. The Russ Short is one of our go to performance oriented boards as it allows for really radical, performance oriented surfing without budging on stylistic excellency. Russ Shorts really smooth out ones surfing and they really make each surfer plot their line very carefully and push riders to surf the wave in a top to bottom fashion without derivation. "
